Your preschool search ends here! The Preschool at Mishkon in Venice is opening its doors for a fun-filled evening for the whole family! Explore Mishkon's Jewish preschool, connect with our community, let your child experience our students’ engaging enrichment activities, and enjoy a musical family Shabbat! After our open house, you are invited to attend Mishkon's Community Shabbat with indie singer-songwriter Happie Hoffman. 
 
 
Open House  4 - 4:45 p.m.
  • Hands-on Learning Stations: You and your child will have the opportunity to explore our classrooms through interactive stations that replicate actives our preschoolers regularly do during the school day. At the Preschool at Mishkon, we believe that learning should be a joyful adventure and our play-based approach nurtures the social and emotional growth of each child.
  • Connect with our Community: Meet current Mishkon students and families, recent preschool graduates, teachers, staff, and members of our active parent network. This is a great chance for conversations about all our community has to offer.
  • Tour Our Space: The Preschool at Mishkon has a library full of children books, an outdoor play yard with plants, a sand box, sun cover, and climbing wall! Our three classrooms include the Dream Space for enrichment classes such as yoga and music, the Creative Atelier for baking, art, and Mishkon's community programs, as well as the Main Classroom, which is our students' central learning space.
 
Family Shabbat  4:45 - 5 p.m.
Join us as Rabbi Katzan leads a musical and engaging family Shabbat in our outdoor play-yard. Every Friday, our preschools make challah before singing and dancing at Rock Shabbat. Our Rabbi performs our preschoolers favorite interactive Shabbat songs and lead prayers, to which our preschoolers know every word! Families are invited to return at 6 p.m. as Happie Hoffman leads Kabbalat Shabbat in Mishkon's historic sanctuary to our congregation. Our Early Childhood Program serves children from 18 months to 5 years and offers a year-round program, a high-quality curriculum, yoga and mindfulness classes, and half-day and full-day options.
