Rachel’s artistic journey began in childhood, when art became her sanctuary for navigating big emotions. From exploring crayons in preschool to participating in Gifted & Talented art programs throughout her school years, she always found art a place of clarity and expression. Her passion continued through college, where she earned her Arts degree at Parsons School of Design. Throughout college and after, Rachel worked in various creative roles in the fashion industry and beyond, eventually leading her to serve as the Creative Director to New York City's premier luxury concierge service.
After moving to Los Angeles and embracing full-time motherhood during the pandemic, Rachel rediscovered the power of creativity as a coping tool for her toddler. Inspired by her mother’s decades of experience as an early childhood educator and director of an Emilio-Reggio-inspired preschool, Rachel volunteered to facilitate art workshops at Mishkon’s preschool. Her journey has come full circle, blending her professional expertise with a newfound dedication to fostering creativity and mental health.
This deep connection to creativity and well-being inspired Rachel to create ARTWELL, an initiative dedicated to blending artistic expression with mental wellness.
