Wild Things Are Happening: Skirball Private Tour

12:00 PM - 1:00 PMWild Things Are Happening: The Art of Maurice Sendak celebrates the work of Jewish-American artist Maurice Sendak, creator of the acclaimed children’s books Where the Wild Things Are (1963), In the Night Kitchen (1970), and Outside Over There (1980). This exhibition is the first major Sendak retrospective since his death in 2012, and the largest and most complete exhibition of his work to date.
Mishkon's Culture Club has arranged for our community to receive a private tour of this exhibition! The tour can accommodate 35 people and lasts from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. Lunch will not be provided, but feel free to bring snacks, or make a reservation Zeidler’s Café at the Skirball. The $18 admission (free for children under two) covers the private, docent-led tour for Mishkon members and their guests, plus general admission to the Skirball's permanent and special exhibits, 3:00 p.m. story time, and the delightful Noah’s Ark by architect Moshe Safdie. Register below before Sunday, June 16.
Stay after our private tour or come at 3:00 p.m. for the exhibition’s daily story time (included in the private tour or with regular Skirball admission*). You will be able to listen to some of Maurice Sendak’s most memorable stories in the Skirball's cozy reading room!
