Guest Speaker - Rabbi Tsvi Bar David

Saturday, January 25, 2025 25 Tevet 5785

12:00 PM - 1:00 PMIn Sanctuary after shabbat services over Kiddush
This is a workshop on how and why to nourish Jewish unity, Jewish harmony.
Harmony is something like an orchestra: Each one of us is a member of something larger than ourselves, an orchestra. Each one of us plays the instrument best suited to our skills and temperament, and the result is (hopefully!) a beautiful, harmonizing musical composition. The workshop is based on a variety of Jewish texts, taken from Pirkei Avot, the Talmud, and the socio-meditative practices of the Piasetzner Rebbe (died during the Holocaust in Warsaw). We will study, dialogue, sing niggunim and meditate our way to a harmony!
