Community Forum: Improving the Security of the Main Street Frontage
Wednesday, February 1, 2023 • 10 Shevat 5783
7:15 PM - 9:15 PMAGENDA: (1) Defining the Problem: What kind of protection is most needed for our sanctuary’s main entrances? (2) Considerations: What are our other goals that compete for the desire for security, and how do they rank in importance? (3) Solutions: Of the various possible measures (e.g., fences, gates, shutters), which best balances our competing goals? The goal of this forum is to air ideas and to listen to one another.
BACKGROUND: The Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles has awarded Mishkon $20,000 to install another layer of protection along our Main Street frontage. They can be of any design, material, placement, or appearance, as long as they meet security “best practices.” A security expert from the Federation will be in attendance at the forum.
