SHABBAT AND HOLIDAY SERVICES
SHABBAT AND HOLIDAY SERVICES
Shabbat Services
Join Rabbi Josh Katzan and the Mishkon community online Saturday mornings for a heimisch, warm, and engaging Shabbat service. With instructive kavanot (intentions) and sharing of insights, this service is an opportunity to learn and be inspired by the music, depth, and texture of our tradition. What helps make our services warm and inviting is there is no performance; rather, it is conducted with the participation of our community.
Members volunteer in advance to lead parts of the service and chant the weekly Torah portion. Rabbi Josh shares a sermon and engages us in occasional discussions. Mourners and those observing a yahrzeit lead us in the Mourner’s Kaddish.
Whether you are new to Hebrew or well-versed in traditional liturgy, come for an experience that can feel like the warm embrace of a trusted friend. Not a bad way to spend a morning once a week!

Shabbat Morning Services
Saturdays at 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
Join Rabbi Katzan and the Mishkon community on Saturday morning via Zoom, for a heimisch, warm, and engaging Shabbat service at home. Members volunteer to lead parts of the service and share in the honor of reading the weekly Torah portion. With instructive kavanot, guided intentions, and shared insights, the service is a rich opportunity to learn and be inspired by the depth and textures of our tradition. Whether one is new to Hebrew or well-versed in traditional liturgy, the music and practice of our service will quickly feel like the warm embrace of a trusted friend. Rabbi Josh welcomes all of us from the bimah, shares a sermon, engages us in occasional discussions, and leads the closing prayers. Mourners and those observing a yahrzeit have the opportunity to lead us in Mourner’s Kaddish at the end. Not a bad way to spend a morning once a week.
