The graph below shows the amount that was donated to Mishkon in the fiscal year July 2020-June 2021. The line on the graph is composed of dots representing each donor.

What you should notice is that it is a very, very steep curve. Mishkon’s largest three donors comprise 15% of all donations. This is not sustainable, nor does it enable Mishkon to thrive.

Imagine if each member of Mishkon would donate an extra $500-$1,000 annually. Mishkon might be able to create a marketing program to attract new members. We might be able to renovate the bathrooms, replace the roof, or paint the sanctuary. We might be able to hire someone to help produce more programming (which would, in turn, attract more members).

Think about what you would like to get from Mishkon, and then think about how much it would cost to make that happen.

Although the pandemic meant hard times for many, it did not mean hard times for all. Many in our community can afford to give a little bit extra to Mishkon. Perhaps you can increase your dues and pay the full amount before the end of this fiscal year on June 30. Perhaps you have a little bit extra that you could share with Mishkon. Perhaps you’ve done well during the pandemic and want to share with your community.

For a number of reasons, Mishkon needs your donations now. We have a plan in place to ensure our fiscal survival over the long term, but part of the plan includes our members being generous.

Please be generous now. Mishkon needs you.
